About:

Russell M Nelson gave a talk during the 2011 spring conference about that Members of the church cannot be cafeteria Mormons, choosing which doctrines they believe.  This is a fascinating statement for it is clear that the job of Correlation is to do just that, select only certain doctrines and statements for public consumption.

Elder Nelson even selected his own diet of doctrines when addressing conference on the translation of plates in a conference talk <Citation needed> compared to when he spoke to CES (seminary) teachers.  In one, he implies by not stating all the details that the Book of Mormon was translated by the Urim in thumim.  In the other; he clearly states that translation occurred via a seer stone dug from a well.

This blog is to help Members, ex-members and people of other faith to realize that, in fact; everyone does their own choosing of which doctrines to follow, and which to refuse; and that if a strictly literal view is to be taken of any doctrine, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in real trouble; as well as many faiths.  It is this “Cafeteria selection” that defines religions
